RAMBO HEADS BACK TO 'NAM AND PC
Cover yourself with mud and buy some anti-leech cream
immediately, soldier. Vietnam hero Rambo is heading to
PC, courtesy of Illusion Softworks
He was trained to eat things that'd make a Billy-goat
puke. He is handy with a needle and thread. He wins by attrition.
He didn't draw first blood. Colonel Trautman hugs him when he
gets teary. And now Rambo is in the hands of Illusion Softworks,
the Czech team that brought you the seminal delights of soldier
sim Hidden and Dangerous.
For those of you too young to remember Sly Stallone's
greatest creation, Rambo was a one man killing machine
mistreated by his own countrymen or more specifically, one narrow
minded copper after attaining war hero status in Vietnam. Basically,
he's mad as a hat and harder than the entire Red Army and SAS
combined. Nothing is known of the title at the moment, other
than it is planned for PC only right now, and that Take Two will
publish it in the third quarter next year. With the pedigree
of the Czech developer, and the fact that Rambo was completely
great, expect something supremely addictive involving big men,
helicopters, triple figure death counts, large explosions, torture,
hunting knives and trying to buy breakfast in small towns in
America. Fantastic.
Thanks to Paul Craddock for the tip!
