I met James Mason a few years ago at an OrlandoCon. I knew right away I’d want to get a piece from him for my Stallone art collection. James worked up this take on Sly as Jack Carter. Recently James held a contest on his site and I was one of the lucky winners. My prize — James colored the piece you see posted today.
Big thanks to James!!

On July 16, 2010, Peace FM Online posted a piece about Sly and his long-time dream to make a movie about Edgar Allen Poe. Here’s a taste:

On July 15, 2010, The AMC Movie Blog posted The Top 10 Baddies from Sylvester Stallone Movies. And while I’d agree that Clubber Lang was the right choice for the #1 spot, everyone should know that he appeared in Rocky III, not Rocky II! To see the full list, click here.

Time magazine has posted a piece where fans can submit questions for Sly which then may be used in an upcoming interview for the magazine.

On July 14, 2010, Hollywood.com in their The Things They Say in Hollywood posted the following:
The stunt co-ordinator said it was one of the few times he was frightened. When Randy pulls you in, it feels like you’re about to be crushed by an anaconda. We had to tell him to go easy on the stuntmen.” SYLVESTER STALLONE on wrangling ultimate fighter Randy Couture on the set of action film The Expendables.

Like many other SZoners, I’ve always hoped that someday Sly and Zack [Dawn of the Dead; 300; Watchmen] Snyder would get a chance to work together. UGO.com points out that they already did!

On July 12, 2010, The Daily Mail posted the photo of Sly above in a piece titled: “You’re So Vein.”
