Paul Wintner’s Latest Rocky Prop Additions!

StalloneZoner, Paul Wintner is back sharing his latest Stallone props with us.  Take it away, Paul!

These are my Creed and Creed Two hero outfits that I have on display in my office for inspiration.  The towels are the ones Drago throws into the ring.  That’s Creed’s stool and both outfits were screen-worn! Even Rocky’s pamphlets on cancer, the magazine Rocky reads at Adrian’s grave and the framed photo from when Rocky and Adonis first met are screen-used!

As you can imagine, they provide great inspiration and I’m proud to add them to the collection and share with StalloneZoners!

Thanks to Paul for sharing.  For anyone not aware, Paul is a super Stallone fan, and movie prop collector.  Paul’s story is inspirational and we thank him for once again sharing with us!

Ranking All “Rocky” / “Creed” Movies

Sam Stone at CBR.com recently posted Every Rocky Movie Ranked. Stone did this by averaging the professional critics’ scores from Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.

Joe Leydon at Variety had the same idea so All Eight Rocky Movies Ranked were done by Joe.

Not to be outdone, John Orquiola at ScreenRant provided All 8 Rocky & Creed Movies Ranked.

Follow the links above to see the individual comments and rankings for each of the Rocky/Creed films.   I created a chart to make comparisons easier.  I also added my rankings in the last column.

It was interesting to see that except for Rocky at #1 and Creed as #2 there wasn’t a majority consensus for any other ranking.

“Creed” Named One of The 25 Best American Screenplays of the 21st Century

Did you know that Creed was named one of The 25 Best American Screenplays of the 21st Century by the fine folks at IndieWire?  It was and here is what they had to say…

Ryan Coogler and Aaron Covington’s “Creed” screenplay is the kind of crowd-pleasing knockout that seems to come along once in a blue moon. Not only does the script manage to tell an authentic origin story of the young and determined Adonis Creed, but it also finds an authentic way to revive Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky and make him the emotional lynchpin of Adonis’ rise to champion boxer. Nothing in “Creed” feels shoehorned in to satisfy “Rocky” fans. The script fights hard to invest you in Adonis’ journey and earn its callbacks to Stallone’s classic. No wonder the moment when Creed runs through the streets of Philadelphia feels like such an invigorated triumph. The script is the very definition of satisfaction. —Zack Sharf
