Sly and the Family Stallone News for the Week:

Sly Makes the Financial News

The photo above of Sly appears in a May 27, 2010 article at FinancialPost.com in a story about Ken Starr, a financial adviser who had many celebrity clients.  According to the article Starr was arrested and accused of fraud, money laundering and lying to a federal officer as part of a $30-million fraud. This won’t be the first time Starr is in court.

Sylvester Stallone sued Kenneth Starr in 2002, claiming Mr. Starr’s financial advice caused him to lose US $10-million on the stock of Planet Hollywood International Inc., a theme-restaurant chain.

Sly and Danny Have Jokes

On January 29, 2009, Fox News posted a piece titled, “Sly Stallone buys Restaurant to Keep Wife From Cooking.” It ran with the photo above and the news that Planet Hollywood had purchased Buca di BeppoSly was quoted a couple of times, saying:

“If someone said you have to eat one kind of food for the rest of your life, Irish, English, German or Italian, it’s Italian,” Stallone told Fox News of Buca di Beppo’s fare.

“And the beauty of this is, my wife doesn’t have to cook for a long, long time,” Stallone joked. “Thank God.”
