Rambo Trilogy Action Figures

“Slmboyross” posted a link at the StalloneZone message board to some very cool photos of a trio of Rambo Action figures that are scheduled for release later this year. Mirage Toys which is an off-shoot of N2 Toys [which went out of business] is set to release a Rambo figure based on the character as he looked from each of the Rambo films. It’s a cool idea and the figures look like winners.

Stallone Set to Play “The Toymaker” for Robert Rodriguez
Sylvester Stallone has signed to play a villain, called the Toymaker, for “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over” for Robert Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was quoted as saying…
“I’ve always been a big fan of Sylvester Stallone. His larger-than-life persona will be a great addition to the ‘Spy Kids 3-D’ universe.”
“Spy Kids 3-D” is set for release next July.
I’m excited that SLY will have the opportunity to work with ANTONIO BANDERAS [again] and ROBERT RODRIGUEZ. RODRIGUEZ is an excellent director and I hope that this is just the first time that SLY teams with him!

100 Best Action Movies
Ernest “Jazzman” Resendes wants everyone to know that the current issue of PREMIERE (Feb 2003) lists “The 100 BEST action movies on DVD” and you know Sly was on there. Here is what it said:
# 53.NIGHTHAWKS (1981, GOODTIMES ENTERTAIMENT )
Sylvester Stallone made his finest action film long before he got locked in the Rambo-Rocky sequel cycle. In this gritty and unsentimental police tale, Sly and his partner, Billy Dee Williams, chase a chillingly cut-throat international terrorist ( Rutger Hauer ) through the streets , clubs and subways of New York City.
# 63. RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II ( 1985, ARTISAN HOME ENTERTAINMENT )
Sylvester Stallone‘s John Rambo goes back behind the bamboo curtian to rescue American POW’s in Vietnam from the clutches of Commie rats.Despite the pandering politics, the movie’s attitude is solidly antiauthoritarian, and the super cut, tanned Stallone is fun to watch when he lets the machine gun rip.
Great choices I thought !
Peace,
Jazz

Sly in People’s Star Tracks

Sly and the Family Man: Sylvester Stallone carted around 3-year-old daughter Sophia Rose as they caught some after-Christmas sales in Beverly Hills. Stallone and his wife, former model Jennifer Flavin, have another daughter Sistine Rose, 18 months.
The actor, who has been absent from the screen since his 1997 drama Copland, next co-stars with Tom Berringer in the police thriller D-Tox, due in September.

Can you believe that Sophia Rose is three already? That just goes to show how time flies… and September will be here before we know it!
