MSNBC.com<\/b>‘s Ask the Reality Show Experts<\/b> posted an insteresting answer to the following question:<\/p>\n

Will ESPN pick up the boxing reality show? <\/b><\/p>\n

Here’s a bit of their answer: Contender<\/b> fans aren’t going down without a fight…<\/p>\n

NBC’s “The Contender”
\n<\/b> may not have been a
\nsmash hit, but it had a
\nsolid base of about 6
\nmillion<\/b> viewers per week, and it has rabid support among fans…<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Executive producers Sugar Ray Leonard<\/b>, Sylvester Stallone<\/b>, and Mark Burnett <\/b>are reportedly talking to ESPN<\/b> about taking the series to the cable network for a second season…<\/p>\n

NBC<\/b> has said they haven’t officially turned down the show<\/b> yet. Last week Burnett<\/b> told the New York Times<\/b> that a renewal announcement was “highly likely” last week. There hasn’t been word yet, but all of these seem to add up to a return for “The Contender.”<\/b><\/p>\n
