In the true tradition of\u00a0Rocky<\/strong>,\u00a012 boxing slugfests<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 three 2-minute rounds \u2013 will take center stage in an outdoor boxing exhibition showcasing more than 20 young hopefuls and area fighters.
Rocky\/Adrian Look-Alike Contest<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0Thursday, September 7<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0JFK Plaza<\/strong>\u00a0(LOVE Park),\u00a015th Street and <\/strong>
JFK Boulevard, noon to 2 p.m.<\/strong>

With songs from the soundtracks of\u00a0Rocky\u00a0<\/strong>movies as the backdrop,\u00a0Rocky-mania<\/strong>\u00a0will hit championship pitch at\u00a0Love Park<\/strong>. Finalists of a\u00a0Rocky and Adrian Look-Alike contest<\/strong> will be announced and judged by a celebrity jury at LOVE Park. Contestants are eligible to receive a Philly\u00a0<\/strong>Overnight hotel package, a miniature LOVE statue, and tickets to the premiere of the new\u00a0Rocky\u00a0<\/strong>movie in\u00a0December<\/strong>.

Philly Loves Rocky Week<\/strong>\u00a0culminates with the return of hometown hero\u00a0Sylvester Stallone<\/strong>, who is
scheduled to take part in festivities citywide.

Plaques Dedication<\/strong>:\u00a0Sylvester Stallone<\/strong>\u00a0is expected to appear at the dedication of plaques
commemorating the deaths of Police Officer\u00a0Gary Skerski<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a011 a.m.<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0Castor Avenue and Arrott <\/strong>
Street<\/strong>\u00a0(4690 Castor Ave.) in\u00a0Northeast Philadelphia<\/strong>\u00a0and fallen Firefighter\u00a0James Miska<\/strong>l at\u00a01 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0
Third Street and Spring Garden<\/strong>in\u00a0Northern Liberties<\/strong>.Statue Dedication<\/strong>: At\u00a06 p.m<\/strong>., the city will keep
the\u00a0Rocky\u00a0<\/strong>hoopla rolling, with a statue dedication featuring invited speakers\u00a0Mayor John F. Street,<\/strong>\u00a0
Philadelphia<\/strong>-born actor\u00a0Sly Stallone<\/strong>\u00a0and many dignitaries in a star-studded ceremony to mark the new home of the\u00a0Rocky<\/strong>\u00a0statue at the foot of the\u00a0Philadelphia Museum<\/strong>.\u00a0Frank Stallone<\/strong>,\u00a0Stallone<\/strong>\u2019s brother -musician, and actors Burt Young<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cPaulie\u201d in\u00a0Rocky<\/strong>) and\u00a0Joely Fisher<\/strong>\u00a0are scheduled to make
appearances. The dedication will be followed by the music of\u00a0The Don\u2019t Call Me Francis <\/strong>band and a
showing on an outdoor movie screen of the original Academy Award-winning\u00a0Rocky\u00a0<\/strong>saga near the

Party for a cause in the grand finale of\u00a0Philly Loves Rocky Week<\/strong>. The thrills will be a mile a minute, as\u00a0
Sylvester Stallone<\/strong>\u00a0will be the\u00a0grand marshal\u00a0<\/strong>at the enhanced 2006 Hero Thrill Show<\/strong>.
Special guests\u00a0Burt Young<\/strong>,\u00a0Frank Stallone<\/strong>,\u00a0Connie Stevens<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Joely Fisher<\/strong>, as well as many other
radio & tv personalities. The musical entertainment features\u00a0Kenneth Gamble<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Leon Huff\u2019s \u201cSound<\/strong>
of Philadelphia\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0among many others.\u00a0Philadelphia Police & Fire Pipes and Drums<\/strong>, the\u00a0Police Highway Patrol<\/strong>\u00a0Drill Team<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Fraternal Order of Police<\/strong>\u00a0promise to be crowd-pleasers in the traditional
segment of the\u00a0Thrill Show<\/strong>\u00a0featuring daredevil motorcycle-driven stunts. Proceeds support the
education of families of Philadelphia law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty.
