Entertainment Weekly’s<\/em> review of “Get Carter”<\/em> appears in their\u00a0<\/em>Oct. 20, 2000 issue.<\/p>\n

“Get Carter”<\/em> received a rating of “C” with the reviewer saying that “the only fun is in watching STALLONE square off against ALAN CUMMING, as a crybaby zillionaire, and MICKEY ROURKE…<\/p>\n

“Let’s consider this for a minute now… “Get Carter” wasn’t given to critics for pre-release reviews… the implication being that they would only hurt\u00a0“GC”<\/em>\u00a0at the box office.\u00a0Had the review in\u00a0EW<\/em>\u00a0run the opening week, potential\u00a0“GC”<\/em>\u00a0audience members would have read that\u00a0“GC”<\/em> received an overall “C” rating and that STALLONE, ROURKE, and CUMMING all received special positive mention for their scenes together… don’t you think that these two factors would have been enough to convince more fans to give it a try?\u00a0 I do.<\/p>\n

BTW – The\u00a0Entertainment Weekly\u00a0<\/em>Top 20 Movie Chart listed\u00a0“GC”<\/em>\u00a0in third place for it’s opening weekend (behind\u00a0“Meet the Parents”\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0“Remember the Titans”<\/em>) with a $6.6 million opening.<\/p>\n
