Randy Rousseau<\/b>, sent in a great report of his coverage of Sylvester Stallone<\/b>‘s appearance at the\u00a02004 Mr. Olympia<\/b>\u00a0contest held in\u00a0Las Vegas<\/b>.\u00a0 Here’s what\u00a0Randy<\/b>\u00a0had to say:<\/p>\n

Hi\u00a0Craig<\/b>. Wow! What a show!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This show was much like the\u00a0Arnold Classic<\/b>, same kind of displays just\u00a0Vegas style<\/b>, as you can see the ladies on the tables dancing…and in the cage.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

But the best booth at the show and most impressive was\u00a0Stallone<\/b>‘s\u00a0Instone<\/b>\u00a0booth. It had a huge banner of\u00a0Sly <\/b>with a\u00a0Rolls\/Royce Bentley<\/b>\u00a0as an\u00a0Instone <\/b>give away, promotional ads for\u00a0Sly<\/b>‘s new magazine, and the\u00a0Instone Challenge<\/b> promotion. They had a sign telling everyone what time and date to expect to see\u00a0Sly and Jennifer<\/b>.
\nPeople started to line up two hours early for the chance to meet the Stallones<\/b>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Instone<\/b>\u00a0was handing out samples of\u00a0Sly<\/b>‘s pudding, t-shirts and pictures of\u00a0Sly<\/b> for him to sign when he arrived. The crowd was very pumped waiting to see the\u00a0screen legend<\/b>. There were about one hundred people in line when in walks the man.\u00a0Sly<\/b> said hello to everyone in his booth then turned and waved to the crowd.\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0then went over to look at the car and said, It looks great.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My son had brought along our\u00a0Judge Dredd<\/b>\u00a0<\/em>helmet from the film and he was holding it up to see if\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0would spot him. As\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0looked over the crowd he stopped and made eye contact with my son and said, “I thought I was the only one who had that.\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0came over to say, “Hello,” but too many people rushed him, so I put my son on my shoulders to lean over to\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0for him to autograph the helmet.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My cousin had also brought along our\u00a0Over the Top<\/b><\/em>\u00a0doll of\u00a0Stallone<\/b>\u00a0to have him sign.\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0got a real kick out of seeing that. And he gladly signed it while having fun with the crowd. My daughter had red, white and blue boxing gloves that\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0signed for her. The crowd was having a great time as\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0was signing tons of autographs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Than my wife said, “Look, honey! It’s\u00a0John<\/b>\u00a0from\u00a0The Dukes of Hazard<\/b><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Smallville <\/b><\/em>in\u00a0Stallone<\/b>‘s booth.” Sly<\/b> saw him too and went over to say “hello” and take some photos with him. How cool is that? (Smallville<\/b><\/em>\u00a0meets\u00a0Rambo<\/b><\/em>.)<\/p>\n

Both of my kids had on their Planet Hollywood<\/b>\u00a0jackets and they wanted\u00a0Sly<\/b> to sign them, but it was very tough to get them close to Sly.<\/p>\n

So we went over to say hello to\u00a0John<\/b>\u00a0and told him we all love\u00a0Smallville<\/b><\/em>\u00a0and of course we loved\u00a0The Dukes of Hazard<\/b><\/em>.\u00a0 We asked if he would sign the kids’\u00a0Planet Hollywood<\/b> jackets and he said, “sure” and that they were beautiful.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then we saw\u00a0Jennifer Stallone<\/b>!<\/p>\n

We went over to say, “hello” and ask if she would sign the\u00a0Planet Hollywood<\/b>\u00a0jackets.\u00a0Jennifer<\/b>\u00a0said, “I’m no star. Let me have them I will take them to\u00a0Sly<\/b> and have him sign them for you. Is that ok?”\u00a0 YES!<\/p>\n

Jennifer<\/b>\u00a0went right over, laid the jackets on the back of the\u00a0Bentley<\/b>\u00a0and she interrupted\u00a0Sly<\/b>\u00a0to sign them. IT WAS COOL.\u00a0Jennifer<\/b>\u00a0came back and said, “Those are beautiful jackets.” We thanked her. Jennifer looked at my kids and asked, “Do you really want me to sign these?” and they said “Yes.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I told\u00a0Jennifer<\/b>\u00a0my wife was her profit center from\u00a0Serious Skin Care<\/b>\u00a0and she laughed. Than she said, “Did your kids get a picture? Come on over and get one with\u00a0Sly<\/b>.” We took a few and watched as other people took pictures.\u00a0 Mrs. Stallone<\/b> is very very down to earth and is just a nice person. She deserves the best.\u00a0 No Hollywood\u00a0<\/b>attitude found. Just a real person.<\/p>\n

Sly<\/b>\u00a0signed autographs, posed for pictures and shook hands with everyone for over two hours. What a treat for his fans! It’s no wonder he has lasted for so long. Before leaving I took some pictures of the new\u00a0Rocky<\/b><\/em>\u00a0slot machines. What fun they are to play! They have different levels to pass and cartoons from Rocky in the ring and they play scenes from the film and blast the\u00a0Rocky<\/b><\/em>\u00a0theme. –\u00a0Randy Rousseau<\/b><\/p>\n
