My buddy, Mike Zeck<\/a><\/strong> sent me the scan above as well as this one<\/a><\/strong>. That is of course, Sly in his role as John Spartan<\/strong> from “Demolition Man”<\/strong>.\u00a0 Here’s what\u00a0Mike <\/strong>had to say about his involvement with DC’s “Demolition Man”<\/strong> adaptation:<\/p>\n

DC<\/strong> asked for a pencil image of these two characters. I delivered, got paid, and that’s the total extent of my knowledge. No idea if they were ever used for anything, ever inked, or anything else.<\/p>\n

Interesting unseen art though for the ‘Zone<\/strong>‘.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I thanked Mike<\/strong> and said that I wondered how much Stallone-related<\/strong> art is out there that hasn’t been seen. I told Mike<\/strong> that when Joe Kubert<\/strong> was a guest at an OrlandoCon<\/strong>\u00a0several years ago he told me that he had worked up some dailies for a potential “Rocky” <\/strong>newspaper strip that never sold.\u00a0 Mike<\/strong> wrote back to say that he’d been approached about samples for a potential “Rambo”<\/strong> newspaper strip, but because the pay was so low, he never got around to doing any.<\/p>\n
