On December 1, 2009<\/strong>, TMZ<\/strong> broke the news that Sly <\/strong>is suing to get back the famous 1950 Mercury <\/strong>used in the filming of “Cobra”<\/strong>.\u00a0 Sly<\/strong> first reported the car as stolen in 1994<\/strong> and recently came across it in an internet ad offering it for sale.\u00a0 When the current “owner” refused to return it, Sly<\/strong> went after it through legal means.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ<\/strong>, “a suit filed in in L.A. County Superior Court<\/strong> begins with a quote from the movie — “Crime is a disease. Meet the cure.'” <\/strong> You gotta love that.\u00a0 Sly<\/strong> is suing for an immediate return of the car as well as three million dollars<\/strong> in damages since his name and image were used without the proper permission to promote the auction.<\/p>\n
