While filming Killing Kharma <\/strong><\/em>in New Orleans<\/strong>, Michael Rappaport<\/strong> decided to adopt a dog used in one of the scenes.\u00a0 The dog was on loan from the local animal welfare society.\u00a0 This marks the second time this an actor has adopted a rescue dog used in filming in the Big Easy.\u00a0 The first involved Sly Stallone<\/strong> adopting a dog he named “Barney” <\/strong>while filming The Expendables<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 We reported on it here<\/strong><\/a> and this is what the Rappaport<\/strong> article had to say about Sly<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Last summer, Sylvester Stallone <\/a>adopted a Catahoula leopard dog while shooting the action film “The Expendables,” which lands in theaters Aug. 13. The name of Stallone’s pup: Barney — a name he shares with Stallone’s character in the film.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
