On June 17, 2010,<\/strong> Den of Geek<\/strong><\/a> posted their list of The 12 Best Pure Hollywood Action Films of the 1990s<\/strong>.\u00a0 Making the list were Executive Decision<\/strong><\/em>, The Mask of Zorro<\/strong><\/em>, Mission: Impossible<\/strong><\/em>, Speed<\/strong><\/em>, Goldeneye<\/strong><\/em>, The Rock<\/strong><\/em>, The Last Boy Scout<\/strong><\/em>, The Matrix<\/strong><\/em>, Starship Troopers<\/strong><\/em>, Terminator: Judgment Day<\/strong><\/em>, Con Air<\/strong><\/em> and Demolition Man<\/strong><\/em> (which came in 5th<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Here’s some of what was said about Demolition Man<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n

Demolition Man<\/em> is an absolute riot. It has a whale of a time with its script, as Stallone plays the brawny old fashioned cop failing to grasp futuristic<\/span> technologies (there’s perhaps an Expendables<\/em> parallel there)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The dialogue here is golden, and Demolition Man<\/em> isn’t just a fine action film (you’ve got to love it when Wesley Snipes gets hold of futuristic weaponry), but a cherishable comedy too.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
