On June 30, 2010<\/strong>, HopeStandard.com<\/strong><\/a> posted a nice article about a group of Rambo<\/strong><\/em> fans who are taking steps to save the bridge used in the filming of First Blood<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 The efforts to save the bridge aren’t news to those that read the StalloneZone message boards<\/strong><\/a>, but the article may be.\u00a0 Here are some highlights:<\/p>\n Camping on the river\u2019s edge at the bridge, a camping spot soon to be no more after the new bridge is constructed, the young men spent an evening of round table discussion on which of the Rambo<\/strong> movie series was Sylvester Stallone\u2019s best work<\/strong>. But there was also plenty of discussion over what a \u201cwaste it is to see a perfectly good bridge,\u201d part of the town\u2019s \u201cheritage\u201d dismantled.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Ideas from draw bridges and refits in order to keep the Rambo<\/strong><\/em> bridge as a pedestrian, biking route along the TransCanada Trail<\/strong> filled the Saturday evening conversation in camp.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n …there appears to be a resurgence of fans since the new movie releases and the 25th anniversary<\/strong> of the original First Blood<\/strong><\/em>. According to Visitor InfoCentre<\/strong> staffer, Kimberly Campbell<\/strong>, \u201cJune 2010 <\/strong>has seen a flood of Rambo<\/strong><\/em> fans visiting the Hope Museum<\/strong> from all over the world. While it is typical for at least three or four groups to ask about First Blood<\/strong><\/em> every day, June<\/strong> has seen a rise in both the numbers and intensity of fans.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cRecently, the Museum has been graced with the presence of visitors from Vancouver, Portland, Ontario, Germany,<\/strong> and the Netherlands<\/strong> who have come to Hope<\/strong> in large part because the movie was filmed here,\u201d adds Campbell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n At the Hope Museum<\/strong>, visitors are able to re-view the movie First Blood<\/strong><\/em>, \u201cor a number of special edition and behind-the-scenes versions of the movie, as well as a special documentary titled On the Set of First Blood<\/strong><\/em>,\u201d adds Campbell<\/strong>.
