{"id":271,"date":"2007-03-11T09:47:00","date_gmt":"2007-03-11T13:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/wordpress\/?p=271"},"modified":"2007-03-11T09:47:00","modified_gmt":"2007-03-11T13:47:00","slug":"sly-charged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stallonezone.com\/wordpress\/2007\/03\/11\/sly-charged\/","title":{"rendered":"Sly Charged"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family:arial;\">On <strong>March 13th<\/strong> in <strong>Sydney, Australia<\/strong>, <strong>Sly<\/strong> was formally charged with attempting to bring <strong>48 vials<\/strong> of a muscle-building hormone into the country. <strong>Sly\u2019s lawyers<\/strong> represented him in court where he faces one charge of importing a banned substance. <strong>Sly<\/strong> was not required to attend the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution presented documents which stated that <strong>Sly<\/strong> had marked &#8220;No&#8221; on a customs declaration card indicating that he was not bringing into <strong>Australia<\/strong> any restricted or prohibited goods &#8220;such as medicines, steroids, firearms, weapons, or any kind of illicit drugs.&#8221; An X-ray of bags among his entourage led to a search that found the 48 vials of the human growth hormone product. Human Growth Hormone is officially considered a performance enhancing drug in Australia and cannot be brought into the country without a permit from the Therapeutic Goods Administration.<\/p>\n<p>The case has been adjourned until <strong>April 24th<\/strong>. At that time <strong>Sly\u2019s lawyers<\/strong> will enter a plea on his behalf. The maximum penalty could be a fine up to $86,000 and five years in prison, but according to all reports <strong>Sly<\/strong> is unlikely to face the maximum penalty and no prison time.
