\"\"<\/a> Hey SZoners<\/span>! <\/span><\/span>The holidays are quickly approaching and I wanted to remind everyone that Rocky sculptures<\/span> are still available<\/span><\/a> through A. Thomas Schomberg studios<\/span><\/a>. These statues were created by Mr. Schomberg<\/span> [who created the original Rocky sculpture<\/span> seen in the Rocky<\/span> movies] in collaboration with Sylvester Stallone<\/span> and MGM<\/span> studios. <\/span><\/span>Here’s my<\/span> interview with Mr. Schomberg.<\/span><\/a> [part two of the interview is here<\/span><\/a>] for the SZ<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\nMr. Schomberg<\/span> and his lovely wife, Cynthia<\/span> recently contacted me to let me know the following:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

As of August 2010<\/strong>, we have become completely sold<\/strong> out of our 12″ ROCKY sculptures<\/strong>. \u00a0It is a bitter sweet situation, because even though we are grateful many were purchased, we are going to miss the contact with all of the many fans.\u00a0 We found it so rewarding to hear from the fans from all over the world and their appreciation about owning a piece of the ROCKY<\/strong> statue. \u00a0But the most rewarding of all, was hearing about their personal struggles and ultimate triumphs. \u00a0We continue to gather these stories and encourage those who have not contacted us to please do so, because eventually there will be a publication documenting all of this.<\/div>\n

The good news is, we do have the 20″ Bronze Plated ROCKY sculptures<\/strong> still available (the same one that I own! – Crai<\/strong>g), as well as the 20″ Limited Edition ROCKY sculptures<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

We will offer the Bronze Plated ROCKY for $395, shipping free and with interest free time payments.<\/strong> Also, Tom will sign the first 30 of the sculptures sold<\/strong>, which would normally be priced at a premium. \u00a0 We realize there are numerous “Rocky”<\/strong> look alikes out there, but none of them are from the original ROCKY statue<\/strong> and from the original sculptor<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Since the 12″ Sculptures <\/strong>have sold out, we are getting low <\/strong>on the 20″ Bronze Plated Sculptures<\/strong>. \u00a0Also, there are only 7 remaining of the Limited Edition ROCKYs at the price of $2600<\/strong>. \u00a0Our next set of castings (we can only produce 35 at a time<\/strong> until the 100 limit) will go up at least another $1000 due to foundry increased pricing<\/strong>, so the current price is a very good offer.<\/div>\n

It’s always great to hear from Tom<\/strong> and Cynthia<\/strong>.\u00a0 They are two of the kindest, most humble and down to earth people you could ever talk with.\u00a0 One of my highlights of running the StalloneZone<\/strong> was getting to interview Tom<\/strong> and my Schomberg Rocky statue<\/strong> is one of my most prized possessions.<\/div>\n
