He entered the realm of professional comics by landing at <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">DC<\/span> on such projects as <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Superman<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Green Lantern<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The Flash<\/span>.  From there it was on to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Marvel<\/span> and a long run on various <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Spider-Man<\/span> comics.  Since leaving <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Marvel<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Alex <\/span>has worked on the<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> X-Files<\/span> comic, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The Spider-Man<\/span> newspaper strip, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The Phantom<\/span>, as well as <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">advertising <\/span>and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">storyboards<\/span> for motion pictures.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Alex<\/span> chose to draw <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sly<\/span> as <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Superman<\/span> and I love the result. <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> Alex <\/span>is a big movie fan, and he knew that <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sly<\/span> had been in the running for the lead role.
