Here&#8217;s some of what he had to say:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">*  [<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sly<\/span>] &#8220;in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">1976<\/span>, was hailed as the new <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Marlon Brando, Oscar-nominated<\/span> for both writing and acting in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rocky<\/span>, that year&#8217;s <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Best Picture<\/span> winner.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">*  <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Stallone<\/span> returned to his <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rocky<\/span> character last year for the well-received comeback picture <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rocky Balboa<\/span>, which even the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Razzies<\/span> couldn&#8217;t fault.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">*  <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sly<\/span>: &#8220;You have careers of peaks and valleys and you harken back to things that you&#8217;re known for. Every actor would like to say they&#8217;re <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Daniel Day-Lewis<\/span> and they have this incredible palette, but quite often you&#8217;re known for certain things.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">*  [<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sly<\/span>] had no trouble at all slipping back into character.  &#8220;I love it,&#8221; he says, and the smile is proof of sincerity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">*  When a journalist suggests <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rambo<\/span> is one of the most violent movies going \u2013 even more than the blood-soaked <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sweeney Todd<\/span> \u2013 <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Stallone<\/span> interrupts him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">&#8220;Not one of the most. The most. I tried very hard for this.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">He had to argue his case before the censors of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Motion Picture Association of America<\/span>,which wanted to give <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rambo<\/span> the audience-limiting <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">NC-17 rating<\/span>. He managed to persuade the<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> MPAA<\/span> to give it the more accommodating<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> &#8220;R&#8221;<\/span> rating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Stallone<\/span> believes it&#8217;s important to show people the truth about &#8220;the most brutal regime on the planet,&#8221; even if the truth hurts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">*  [<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sly<\/span>] starts talking about what he might do next. Maybe something with his muscle-bound peers <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Bruce Willis<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">He&#8217;s seen <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Space Cowboys<\/span>, the<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> 2000<\/span> actioner that teamed <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Donald Sutherland<\/span> as aging astronauts who hit the skies one more time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">&#8220;I have a very, very bizarre idea,&#8221; he says, teasing his press audience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">&#8220;It&#8217;s probably absurd. It&#8217;s got a formula to it. But if I told you I was gonna do one about a 61-year-boxer you&#8217;d go, `Yeah, sure.&#8217; If you can find the right formula, almost anything is feasible. It&#8217;s just coming in there and having the audience go, `Okay, that&#8217;s possible.&#8217; It&#8217;s weird, but feasible. <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Space Cowboys<\/span>, hello?
