<\/strong>The news broke this week that MGM<\/strong> is moving forward with Creed<\/strong><\/em> to be directed by Ryan Coogler<\/strong> and to pair him with his Fruitville Station<\/strong><\/em> star, Michael B. Jordan<\/strong> in the starring role of Apollo Creed’s grandson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Coogler<\/strong> and Jordan<\/strong> teamed for Fruitville Station<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0which won the\u00a0Grand Jury Prize<\/strong> and the Audience Awards<\/strong> at the Sundance Film Festival<\/strong>. \u00a0This has been Coogler’s dream project<\/strong> for some time and appears to be on the fast track due to the success of Fruitville Station<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and the participation of Jordan<\/strong> and Sly Stallone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Stallone<\/strong> would reprise his role as Rocky Balboa<\/strong>. \u00a0Creed<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0will follow the story of Apollo Creed’s grandson<\/strong> who has been raised in privilege thanks to the fortune Apollo Creed<\/strong> earned in the ring.
