<\/span>My name is Brittany Harrison<\/span>, and I was just browsing around your fan page which is awesome<\/span> \u2013 I\u2019m a huge Sylvester fan<\/span>, too! What’s awesome that you already know about his involvement in the Burma: It Can’t Wait <\/span>campaign, as I can see from your postings. I work for a website called Fanista<\/span> and we’ve just launched the campaign with the US Campaign for Burma and the Human Rights Action Center.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>In case you don’t know much about the campaign, Sylvester<\/span> and other celebrities have graciously done REALLY amazing short film spots for us to speak out against the atrocities enforced by the Burmese military junta<\/span> (70,000 child soldiers, 2x more villages burned than in Darfur, torture and massacre of monks, systematic rape – and that was before the most recent crime of denying aid to desperate victims of the Myanmar cyclone<\/span>, resulting in 100,000 deaths<\/span>). We came up with the idea to get 30 celebrities<\/span> to be in 30 short films<\/span> rolling out over the month of May<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
