Jeremy Padawer<\/b> [Vice President <\/b>of Boy\u2019s Entertainment Marketing<\/b> at Jakks Pacific<\/b>, the 3rd<\/b> largest toy company<\/b> in the US<\/b>, behind Mattel<\/b> and Hasbro<\/b>] has posted some photos of the new Rocky<\/b> figures which will be released later this year and in 2007<\/b>. The faces are covered because these are just prototypes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s more from Jeremy<\/b>: “When I say we\u2019re doing Rocky<\/b>, I mean we\u2019re going ALL OUT<\/b>. We\u2019re going to create R.A. style figures for the entire Rocky<\/b> series – Rocky I<\/b> through Rocky Balboa (VI)<\/b>. In total, I estimate that we will develop and release approximately 45-55 <\/b>figures. The goal will be to not only celebrate the most important characters in the Rocky<\/b> series (Clubber Lang<\/b>, Apollo Creed<\/b>, Rocky Balboa<\/b>, Ivan Drago<\/b> and about 15-20 <\/b>more that fit into the obvious category), but we will also recreate key secondary <\/b>and tertiary characters<\/b>!”<\/p>\n

I think it’s cool that Jeremy <\/b>is a long time fan of the Rocky series<\/b> and that we’re going to see figures from all of the movies. Jakks<\/b> is a major player in the action figure market [my youngest son must have hundreds of the wrestling figures] and I can’t wait to see what they come up with!<\/p>\n
