In a lawsuit <\/b>filed in Manhattan Federal Court<\/b>, Sly Magazine LLC<\/b> is accusing American Media<\/b>, publisher of Sylvester Stallone’s Sly magazine<\/b>, of violating their trademark.<\/p>\n

They contend that Sly Magazine LLC<\/b> controlled the trademark <\/b>on the magazine name<\/b> because their website<\/b> went up in November<\/b> and Sly’s magazine<\/b> didn’t debute until March<\/b>. Apparently they are choosing to ignore the fact that Sylvester Stallone<\/b> announced the publication of his magazine in October<\/b> [a month before the “other” Sly’s website<\/b> went up] and that Stallone<\/b> has been known as Sly<\/b> for decades.<\/p>\n
