It’s been reported that\u00a0Sylvester Stallone<\/b>\u00a0has asked\u00a0Benny Mardones<\/b>\u00a0and his songwriting partner [Grammy\u00a0<\/b>Award-winning producer],\u00a0Michael Lloyd<\/b>, to work on new songs for a planned\u00a0Broadway\u00a0<\/b>production of the original\u00a0“Rocky”\u00a0<\/b>and the next in line of the movie anthology the\u00a0Philadelphia\u00a0<\/b>boxer made famous,\u00a0“Rocky VI.”<\/b><\/p>\n

Mardones<\/b>\u00a0is best known for his song\u00a0“Into the Night,”<\/b>\u00a0which reached\u00a0Billboard<\/b>‘s pop\u00a0Top 20<\/b>\u00a0twice, in\u00a01980\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a01989<\/b>. [A song I really liked!]\u00a0Lloyd<\/b>\u00a0is best known for his producing credits on the soundtrack for\u00a0“Dirty Dancing,” ” ‘You Light Up My Life”<\/b>\u00a0with\u00a0Debbie Boone\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0“(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0Jennifer Warnes<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Bill Medley\u00a0<\/b>from\u00a0“An Officer and a Gentleman.”<\/b><\/p>\n
