The
December 24 - 31, 2001 issue of US Weekly contains a piece
called, "Stallone Does Time With Top Cop." The
picture to the left and the text that follows make up the article.
Sylvester Stallone seems to have a best new buddy -- New
York Police Commissioner Bernard Kernik. When the Cop
Land star arrived in New York on December 4, Kerik
made sure a squad car greeted Stallone, 55, to speed the
actor (who rode shotgun) to a reception at Planet Hollywood,
where the 23 officers who died during the September 11 attacks
were honored. And after the event, says an eyewitness, "Kerik
lent Sly his own car because Sly didn't have one."
That's not all. The next day, Kerik took Rambo out to
lunch and to visit Ground Zero. Plus, say sources, Kerik,
46, pitched his new pal on the idea to star in a movie based
on his best-selling autobiography, The Lost
Son: A Life in the Pursuit
of Justice.
