I’ve received word that the official “Rocky Balboa” trailer can be seen with “Pirates of the Caribbean” starting today [July 7th] and on Yahoo beginning Monday [July 10th]! – Craig Zablo

  11. The Rocky Balboa trailer is not on every single print of Pirates 2. it is up to the projection manager at each theatre to put on certain trailers on each film.

  27. Rocky should lose the fight. it would make for a better ending. spill his heart out in the ring but still lose. and rocky of course will still get mad respect. also the “Lets’s start building hurt’n bombs” line sounds pretty cheesy to me. other than that it looks awesome.

  28. Hello all you Rocky fans out there! I can say that I did indeed see the official Rocky Balboa Teaser Trailer before Pirates Of The Carribean. I can also say that I have never heard a theater full of people erupt and go crazy like they did when that familiar theme song hit. Everyone knew right away.
    I also know that it is only playing with select showings of Pirates so if you go just to see the trailer don’t get your hopes up! I can say that the trailer is very tastefully done. Very exciting.

  37. i do feel that it was regals fault i asked the projectionist about the trailers and he said yes it was on there. Do you know if it is just the teaser that is in the theaters the one were you see slys eyes. craig keep up the good work ive talked to you in the past. i think you should get everyone together for an opening. i would so be there

  39. i am a manager at Regal and a projectionist there. the trailer IS on certain prints of “Pirates 2.”

    we had 6 different prints of “Pirates”, but only had one Rocky Trailer. so its only playing on ONE of the “Pirates” in our theater.

    it just depends, you have to get lucky i guess.

  40. Im an usher at the movies and I’ve seen the trailer so many times. I cannot wait for this movie. I grew up with Rocky so this is THE MOVIE of all movies for me.

    Anyone remember this? Ive never seen it anywhere on line or on a dvd. But I have the original 35mm trailer for that. I just wanna know how I can get that on dvd or video. can anyone help me?

    Saw the Thursday night 11:59PM of Pirates at Crocker Park Regal in Westlake, Ohio. Rocky Balboa trailer was on the reel – totally unexpected! The crowd was full oftweens and teens alike – so when myself (21) and my friend (23) saw the Rocky preview, our eyes lit up and huge smiles spread across our faces as we looked to each other in happiness. At the first half note of the familiar Rocky music, I yelped in delight, which caused looks but I didn’t care! I shouted “YEAAAAAH!!!” as loud as I could, which was answered by another “YEAAAAH!” one right after another in the crowd. I started a “ROCKY!, ROCKY!” chant and soon the theater erupted into ROCKY! chants of their own. It was so loud I could barely hear the preview… and they continued all the way into the opening credits of Pirates. There’s no denying the raw human connection and emotional pull of Rocky… Sly has set himself up for great success once again with this instant classic, proving once again that he’s got something ‘left in the basement’ 😉
    If you are on the fence about seeing this movie come December 22nd ’06, let me push you off – MAKE PLANS. YOU. YOUR BEST FRIENDS. ROCKY BALBOA. DO IT.
