  19. Paulie is great. I have to confess that since I was born (1985) all my life and a way of thinking, struggling problems was inspired by the Rocky. It gave me strenght to fight even if there were no chance to be succesed. My biggest dream is to met Sly. I could do everythink to get his sign but he is a star… Paul, Poland. thunder@onet.eu

  25. Nice pic.; I always liked Paulie throughout the series. He was very gracious to the fans during the Vegas filming; I’ll always remember that about Burt Young.

    I must say, it took a lot of guts to attempt to make another Rocky movie. Its a bold move. You have the correct premise, which is a smart move. Bringing back Paulie and actually getting Burt Young to do the role will really help sell the characters that were present back in one and five.

    From what I understand of the story from the original ideas and the trailer that is now out, things have the possiblity to be really good, as long as you focus less on the fight and more on the personal ordeals and mind sets.

    I will be at the theatre opening night, unless shooting of my own projects gets in the way. Good luck with it, you have my support.

    I only wish it were possibly to actually hear back from you.

  31. Just joining this blog, I wanted to comment on the trailer. Im a nano-second later in the trailer, it appears that Rocky is placing red flowers (Roses perhaps) downward and outdoors. I take it that his wife is deceased, and T. Shire will not have anything to do with Rocky 6. I guess she’s too busy doing ……….???

  32. Burt Young has to be one of the most underated actors in Hollywood. I will go to a movie if he is in it. From Chinatown to Convoy to Rocky to Mickey Blue Eyes, his characters always seem to play a pivitol, important and entertaining role in a way only he could deliver it.

  33. I agree with what someone said here… making RB is/was a bold move. Just consider all the opposition and ridicule. It takes courage and belief. Not to mention the enromous amount of work that went into a labor of love.

    It just highlights how underatted Sly is as an artist and human being. Can’t help but look up to someone like that…

  37. With all the bad things going on in the world… The fact that Rocky has come back erases all the bad things and makes me realize there are more good things going on in the world than bad. Welcome Back Rocky this world is in good shape once again with the Return of Rocky.

    Hey, I heard this rumour too… am thinkin that’s all it is though as he isnt listed as a cast member on the IMDB. That said, neither is Mike Tyson – and I believe he also cameo’s in the movie (they’ve made a figure off him for the merchandise too!)

I was hopin MR.T would make a cameo in this film… it would be awesome.. the great thing is He wrote and directed this move.. just like rocky 1,2 and 3 which were all awesome movies.. rocky III was my fav it has all of the movies wrapped up into one.. he was king of the world he got knocked down and then got back to the top.. great inspirational movie

  48. The song in the trailer that begins with the bells where Rocky is talking to Paulie about the “stuff in the basement” is titled, “The Final Bell” by Bill Conti. It is on the original soundtrack. The song “Take You Back” is also from the original and is sung by Valentine.
