    Wie uns ’20th Century Fox’ nun allerdings mitgeteilt haben, hat sich die Wartezeit verkürzt. Anfangs wurde ja schon spekuliert, dass der Film bereits im Februar nächsten Jahres in Deutschland erscheint, nun ist es offiziell: Rocky Balboa wird am dem 08. Februar 2007 hierzulande in den Kinos zu sehen sein. Wir müssen uns also 2 Monate weniger gedulden, eine gute Nachricht für alle Rocky-Fans.

    Magic’s revived from what was
    A hot new movie’s soon to be
    I’m talking ’bout the sixth Rocky

    The net’s got the trailer preview
    Has had web hits from most of you
    Because Stallone’s a special man
    He has got many fans

    For ones who don’t know history
    This saga’s quite a victory
    An underdog started it all
    When the bell rang, he didn’t fall

    First there came Rocky one
    Apollo regret what he’d done
    When he gave Rocky a chance
    A real champ took his stance

    It all continued, Rocky two
    Balboa knew what to do
    This very special somebody
    Had inspired everybody

    Then there was Rocky three
    Mister T was mighty
    We’ve a champ the viewers sang
    But it wasn’t Clubber Lang

    Sadness came in Rocky four
    Apollo died on the floor
    Drago caused his last strife
    Rocky fought for his life

  23. I remember the year was 1982 and I was 10 years old. My mom and her friend wanted to go see a movie and they took me and a friend of mine. As we walked into the movie theater I saw the poster for Rocky III. I thought to myself, “I have NO desire to see some boxing movie!” I was dreading it more than I can tell.

    Yet, I can tell you that from the moment that movie began, I was hooked and have been ever since.

    Not only is Sylvester Stallone the most beautiful man ever put on creation, he is brilliant.

    Now I can tell you that I am looking forward to December 22, 2006 more than I can tell!

  26. As im only 18 I never got to watch Rocky in the cinema with surround sound going through the motions so ive only seen it on telly – I cant explain how excited I am to go and see it in the cinema!

  31. I’m glad to see the movement has started, if know one minds, I’d like to put my 2 pence worth in…
    I myself am in the UK and also unhappy that we have to wait until February for it’s release. Our brothers and sisters in Germany have got to wait until APRIL (according to IMDB.com)!!!! I dont want to be hearing who wins and all the other ins and outs of the story, then have to wait 2 whole months before seeing it! And I aint spoiling the experience by having some rip-off copy.

    Craig, maybe you can help with you’re web/blog design skills (and your contacts). Can we start an online petition to get Rocky Blaboa the same release date worldwide and then send it to the heads of MGM? The character of Rocky as we all know is a true underdog and by very definition the same is true of Rocky Blaboa (the movie). Maybe the good people at MGM aren’t even expecting much – but I think they will be surprised. There are obviously lots of die-hard fans who will see the film (several times), but I’ve come across a lot of people who’s first responce was to diss the thought of a new Rocky film (because it’s the easy option) – that said, they will be the people who go to see it out of curiousity.
    Lets get Rocky the same worldwide release date, December 22 2006. What a great Christmas present for the world!

    Help us Craig, you maybe our only hope…

  35. Just met Sly after the Rocky statue dedication in Philadelphia. He was gracious and stopped to sign a boxing glove for me even though the police were trying to whisk him away. He sais’ “Walk with me,” and he signed the glove for me and thanked me for coming. I later crashed his after party where he was releasing his new Sly Glacier Water at the Waterworks in Philadelphia. It was an experience I won’t soon forget. Got my picture with Stallone and next to a lifesize Rocky Statue ice sculpture (also a bottle of Sly water!)

  36. I watched original Rocky in eighties and watched all ever since and watched and watched and watched….. Words can’t describe sitting on edge of seat screaming ROCKY ROCKY ROCKY…. Now got my kids hooked absolutely brill…. They can’t wait for new movie will wear my dvd player out watching other five. Need to get this out worldwide on Dec 22nd….. Don’t let critics get it will run it for everyone for rest of planet….

  45. My brothers, Dad and I used to watch the Rocky movies together. Now I have a 7 year old, and I have introduced him to ROCKY, as we have the series on DVD. We are all really excited that there is a final ROCKY.
    We will be there opening night!
    The Rocky movies inspire you, and make you believe that you can accomplish your goals if you work hard enough.
