Hey Sly it’s about time you made this movie as I grew up I saw all your Rocky movies and was left with the thought of at the begining of rocky 5 you were left with brain damage and could not fight and lost everything and went back to your home town, this left me thinking for alot of years when were you going to make Rocky 6 and become champion and get everything back that you lost…

  17. I guess Sly is a Edgar Allen Poe fanatic! and has been for many many years! It is mentioned on his A@E Biography special that was packaged with the Rocky Anthology DVD set! I bought that the first day that is was released 2 years ago. The movie “Poe” sounds like a very artistic and interesting idea, I would definitely see it if Sly chooses to make it!:) – Aron Scott

    yeah, but at least he is still living, lol, like some rumors said he dies in this film….who cares really if he wins or loses. Like Rocky 1, he didn’t win, it was a draw. It wasn’t about winning, just about going the distance. Full circle like the first one..

  34. Not to be a stickler, but on an above comment someone said the first fight with Apollo ended in a draw. Apollo actually won the first fight. Because of the strange editing at the end of the movie many people left the theatre back then wondering who actully won. If you look closely you can see Apollo hopping up and down at the end when Jergans proclaimed him the winner. And you can hear him say ‘and still champion’ bla bla bla… Avildsen edited it this way because winning or losing wasn’t the real point of the first one, much the same with this one. Hope this clears up any confusion…

  35. Yes, Apollo won by a split decision (2 judges for Apollo, 1 for Rocky). The editing is weird at the end, but like the above blogger said, the outcome wasn’t important. GO ROCKY!

  38. It doesn’t matter if Rocky wins, or loses. I am just happy and thankful that he is back and in the public eye. I agree, that night shot of Sly is WICKED! one of the best pics so far! He truely is “one in a million”.   41. I hope the Rocky Balboa statue makes an appearance in this film! The dedication for the statue took place last month, so I wonder if Sly was able to use it during filming or not. I am so glad that it was put back where it BELONGS!, it better ALWAYS be sitting there at the top of the steps of the Art Museum, looking over the city of Philly! It better NOT EVER be removed from that spot, it actually should be declared a National Landmark! I am going to visit Philadelphia someday and see the statue in person!:) – Aron Scott

  46. This is the return of Rocky. This film marks the end of the victorious career of Rocky. These photos had been well creative. Rocky with the public, and the photo of teaser was excellent. Edmundo, a super fan of Brazil!
