Escape Plan has stated opening around the world and is doing much better in those markets than it did in the US. Here is your Escape Plan news for the week.

On November 15, 2013, Sly was out with some friends and as usual was dogged by paparazzi. Sly is used to their behavior and as regular readers know, Sly interacts positively with them despite the annoyance that they can cause. As Sly was walking down the street and speaking to friends he made a comment about them or one of them.
It’s hard to tell from the audio what exactly was said, but TMZ made a post that Sly had “hurled” the “N-word” at them. First of all, if it is hard to tell what was said, does it make sense to say that he “hurled” anything at anyone? Next, isn’t it safe to assume that had he said the “N-word” there would have been a major commotion?
At the time Sly wasn’t even aware that he was being accused of using the “N-word” or you can be sure, knowing Stallone, that he would have stopped and addressed it immediately. Despite reporters speaking to others who were there and who have denied Stallone’s use of the word, and a professional audio engineer who analyzed the recording and confirmed that Stallone didn’t use the “N-word” the story took on a life of its own.

This is Erin Humiston’s first appearance in my Stallone Sketch Gallery.
I met Erin a couple of years ago at a MegaCon Convention. I liked Erin’s animation style and thought it would be cool to see his take on a Sly character.
Erin did a sketch of Sly from Paradise Alley. I actually thought I had shared it earlier, but in checking today see that I didn’t. I’ll fix that and post it in a week or two. In the mean time we have Erin’s take on Sly as Jack Carter.
You can see more of Erin’s art at his website and Facebook page.

Here’s the new character poster for Grudge Match starring Sly Stallone and Robert Deniro. The poster features Jon [“The Walking Dead,” “Mob City”] Bernthal.

On November 5, 2013, The New York Theater Guide announced the additional casting of three major roles for Rocky Broadway.
Terence Archie will play Apollo Creed.
Dakin Matthews will play Mickey.
Danny Mastrogiorgio will play Paulie.
