David Haye Trains Like Rocky

David Haye who fights Wladimir Klitschko next month in a world title unification bout is not only a Rocky Balboa fan, but has also been training like Rocky.  Haye told The Sun

  • “Since I was a kid I’ve always been a fan of the Rocky movies and spent a lot of time – probably too much time – watching them all!
  • “I love the Rocky storyline of the underdog going in and beating up the big Russian Ivan Drago.
  • “It’s a cliche, I know, but the sight of Rocky Balboa training by running up those steps in Philadelphia with his little dog and punching meat in the ice box really did act as one of my inspirations to start boxing.”
