Rambo Statue Sells Out!

Last month I posted that the Rambo statue from Hollywood Collectibles Group was available for pre-order. Friday, I received the following e-mail from Mark at the Hollywood Collectibles Group:

Rambo Sculpture Available

The ad above appears in the August 2008 issue of Previews which goes out to comic and specialty shops throughout the USA.

I’m especially proud of this piece since the original sculpture first appeared on the StalloneZone. I was then contacted by Hollywood Collectibles and asked if I could put them in touch with Edhino, the artist who created the piece. I did and the rest is history.

Rambo V Mentioned

At the end of this article at The Hollywood Reporter.com, Jay A. Fernandez lists movies that are in production at Lions Gate. He says we can look forward to:
  • “Warrior,” which Gavin O’Connor co-wrote and will direct;
  • “Conan,” a fast-tracked project with multiple scripts in the works;
  • “Severance Package,” with Brett Simon writing and directing;
  • “Rambo V,” to be written and directed by Sylvester Stallone;
  • “Korean Wedding” from writer Jason Filardi; and
  • “Kane & Lynch,” a video game adaptation that will star Bruce Willis.
Obviously, the “Rambo” news excites me the most, but I also look forward to seeing what they do with “Conan” and “Severance Package” [I really enjoyed the novel]. – Craig

In it’s first week of release the “Rambo” DVD was number one on the home video rental charts and number two on the sales charts with two million units sold. The Blu-ray release of “Rambo” was also number one with one of the best Blu-ray debuts ever. “Rambo” was also the number one movie download at the iTunes Store.
