One thing I have never read mentioned in any blog or write-up on the Rocky films is the phenonmenal audience reaction. I have never seen an audience lose its collective cool as it invariably does during the fight scenes at the end of every Rocky film…corporate madness, with people out of their seats, jumping up and down in the aisles, screaming, pounding the seats, hugging the person in the next seat, whether they know them or not! And, in the days before VCR’s, I saw the first and second films in theaters over and over with different audiences…the reaction was always the same. Gee, I hope it happens again! 😀
I saw Rocky I through V in the theaters and I will see Rocky Balboa, too! I also own Rocky I-V on video cassette. I was in boxing, powerlifting, football, wrestling, etc. during middle and high school (I graduated in 1986) and the Rocky series gave me motiviation all the way through! Now as a 38 yr old he is motivating me again! Go for it, Rock!!
rocky series made me take up boxing wen i was 13.i had an outstanding unbeaten record in the army now out the army and at 30 yrs of age i hope the italian stallion gives me the motivation to go out there and expand that unbeaten record longlive-paul-DAF-layland
