"Skill vs Will"

Although Rocky (SYLVESTER STALLONE) just wanted some small local fights, he finds himself back into the ring facing a new rival, Mason Dixon (ANTONIO TARVER) in a dramatically different era.
– Craig Zablo

The final round of the Academy Award™-winning Rocky franchise hits theatres Friday, December 22, 2006.
Written and directed by SYLVESTER STALLONE.

  1. The backdrop says “charity exhibition”; is that the case or does the fight represent the heavyweight championship?

  2. Great pictures Craig!
What about a pic of you and Sly together?
    Go for it Balboa !!
    Best wishes!

  3. Thanks Craig. Thanks for taking the time to do all this.

“What will we do when it’s over?”

“Ah… You know me Stallion-always think of something else.”

  4. hey sly! greetings from frankfurt germany! we are very proud that ur making the 6th rocky cause we love the whole collection!!
go ahead! we hope there will be a happy end! please don’t die in the movie! u are such a strong person! dont end like apollo and micky! u have to fight against the death and for the life and that u get rich again and live in a villa and drive two lamborghinis! dont forget that u have promised your son to buy all the things back that u have lost, because of a big mistake from paulie. we love ur lamborghini and the robot! what happened to buttkiss??! where is the dog?? we think that u should integrate a cat called shushu. that would show ur sensitive side.
stallone… or rocky (who are we talking to?! damn!)
i think we should end our opinion! cause it’s getting longer and longer and longer and longer.. haha. maybe we will go on with the next photo 😉

we’re representing croatia, turkey and italy!!
    we love rocky!!!

  5. I’m loving ALL the new still photos obviously, but why aren’t there LARGER options to download?
This pic is brilliant but way too small and it’s hardly a spoiler by having a larger image.
We’re all going to see the film – so a larger image can’t hurt until the premiere.

  6. Excellent!!!!

Dominican Republic Are Supporting this great film..We Love you Rocky!…

    What a Great Pic!!

  7. Awsome, Im listening to the soundtrack of the other films right now and am getting hyped for this film. I now run from my house to the top of a hill Rocky style.

  8. I have to agree with the above comment about the crappy suit. And you know something? I wouldn’t want it any other way. Have we forgotten that horrid example of a suit Rocky wore when he was job hunting in Rocky II? I really think some thought was put into the wardrobe because, cool tiger jacket aside(lol) the rock didn’t have the best taste in clothes when he was down and out. Only in 3 and 4 did he have the good stuff…I gotta tell you, when 4 came out I loved it, but I hoped even then Rocky would hang it up. But when V came out I went to see it, and I tell ya, I wasn’t as disappointed as many others were. Boxers never go out on top, unless their name is Marciano. And even back then before 5 came out I was wondering what Rocky was up to. I was a little sad also that he was broke at the end of 5, but I convinced myself that with Rock’s popularity he would get into commercials again, maybe even training again. Never liked the idea of Rocky Jr. stepping in the ring. “See, I fight so you don’t have to fight. Cuz I want you to use your head for something instead a punching bag like I do.” And maybe even a Rocky grill! As cool as George Foreman is now, he wasn’t the most popular guy when he was coming up under the shadow of Ali. Surely Balboa was a more popular champion and his grills would sell like crazy…But you know what? I’m curious now about how Rocky is living his life and that’s the way I see it now. It’s another chapter in the life of one of America’s favorite cinematic heros, not a cheesy sequel or another chance to milk Balboa dry of every dollar he’s worth. No one complained about all the Star Wars movies coming out, only that they didn’t like the prequels as much as the originals. Stallone has been hearing the same critisism since Rocky III. I say let’s see where he’s at at this stage of his life. I say look at that 60 year old man and compare him to todays leading men. How many times have we seen Leo Dicaprio with his shirt off and said,”man I hope I look like that when I’m his age.” Stallone has been an inspiration for me all my life. I say let the man do what he does best and let all the idiotic remarks people make about him be laid to rest. I can honestly say I’ve never felt as much anticipation for a movie in my life, thanks to all the stuff on the internet nowadays. I know this movie will do well, and another generation of fans who always wanted to see a Rocky movie on the big screen will help push it’s success along with us fans of the series since day one. Great idea using the Talor Hopkins backdrop for the movie. I ordered PPV when Talor and Hopkins fought and flipped when Stallone came to the ring! My guess was they were using the arena for the movie and I was right…YIPEE!!! Good luck Sly, and if you can find a bigger fan than myself you should put him on your payroll…

  9. I can not wait to see this movie. My nephew who is only 3 1/2 loves all the Rockys, and he’s gonna come with me when this one comes out. In fact for his next b-day, he’s having a Rocky party. Don’t suppose there’s any chance of getting Sly to come out to Philly for one day is there?? His b-day is Feb 5th just to throw that out there. This movie is gonna kick a**! Can’t wait, love ya Sly!

  10. Since I’m swedish, it seems like I’ll have to wait a bit longer than you americans. February!!! DOH! Man, I can’t wait!

The next 6-7 months will be long ones…

  11. this movie has got me so excited!!! Rocky’s story is the greatest ever told, i cant wait, lets get more teaser videos!!!!!

  12. Rocky is the man when it cones to fighting… altough Antonio Tarver is also… it looks like a good movie!

  13. Anyone catch the sign in front of Paulie? It looks like it says Paulie Pennina….however it should be Pennino…whats up with the obvious flaw?

I am pysched for the movie though…its a great story and a great way to end it all. He is an inspiration to many.

  14. I DID catch that! Why such an obvious flaw? It IS “Pennino.”

    Oh well. Sh*t happens…

  15. Perhaps this time, Rocky will prove to us all that he actually knows how to block and use his guard. 🙂 With more realistic fight scenes, this movie will blow peoples minds.

  16. HAHAHA LOOK AT THE FOTO!!! NOW I KNOW THE STORY ! IT IS AN CHARITY FIGHT, LOOK AT THE BACK OF SLY, “CHARITY EXHIBITION”, HAHAHAH!!!! IT’S NO CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT. In my opinion Balboa is going to win this fight or maybe it’ll be a draw. hahaha now i got it! Pls show us more Trailers and Pics from rocky 6 !!!1

  17. Haha, thats no news to those of us who have actually watched the official trailer. You should watch it too. Some kind of promotor-guy called it “a first class exhibition fight”. So…

  18. So I guess with this being a “Charity Bout”–even if he wins–he doesn’t get to retire (or end the series) with any real financial gain?

    Should be an interesting story…

  19. LOL, it has a golden boy promotions sign at the back, is Oscar De La Hoya promoting it??!?!?

    GO ROCKY!

  20. im sorry, but i didn’t got that out, that it is a charity fight. So, it all makes sence to me, rocky will win the fight, and that is why he also says in die end “it’s never over”, “that problem is seventies” HAHA the series won’t end guys ! be prepared, i told you !

  21. “Nothin’s over till it’s over” is what Rocky says in the end of the trailer; not necessarily the end of the movie.

  22. This is the most inspirational movie of all time! Inspiration is the word. It just goes to show that age is just a number. I love sylvester stalone with that awesome hat only he can sport it off!

  23. Ok this is what I think will happen…First of all Anyone who bought SLY magazine last year knew this was an exibition fight! Now I think Rocky Will lose on points because the Champ Dixon is actually a Good Guy. So remember what I said. Rocky will win lose on points but of course it’ll be a great fight. The ending, my sources have told me that it will end with Him talking to adrian on her tomb as a voice Narrates the final seconds…
    God Bless
    Arturo
    p.s…My sources are REAL!
