And now as an added bonus, some interview questions and answers from Sly!

QUESTION: Can you talk about the legacy of “Rocky” and the influence it’s had.

SYLVESTER STALLONE: Well, you know, the legacy… I never thought would ever end up being a legacy. But I guess what has come out of it is that it’s a pretty universal dream to, to try to rise up and take your best shot at life. And you may not totally be successful but at least you made an out, you’ve had the chance. You’ve had the opportunity and I think that’s the biggest frustration a lot of people have in their own lives is never getting a shot, you know.

    LOVA YA ROCKO…………..

  10. All I can say is I will be duisappointed with the movie if Rocky turns out not to win the fight, but does win respect or omething cheesy like that. He’s ROCKY!!! He better not lose!!

  11. Yo, I’m your biggest fan. I wanted to tell you something, why were you mad when they made a statue about you in the Rocky III, oh how’s your son?

  12. Rocky can’t lose this fight. It’d defeat the whole purpose of Rocky, the guy who comes from behind to go that one extra round to win it.

  13. Come on Rock! One more round! Fight this guy hard! He’s just a man! Get up you Son of bitch…becasue Mickey loves Ya!

I can’t wait for this freakin movie! I can still remember my Dad taking me to see Rocky 3 in the Movie theatre.

Does anybody know aht the word is on the Rocky Balboa Video Game? I see the small link on the main Rocky page, but it is greyed out. Man if the game looks like it looks in the movie, that will be bad ass!!!!

Keep fightin’ Rock! Remember your a greasy, fast italian Tank! πŸ™‚

  14. “He’s Rocky, he better not lose!”

Uhm. The franchise was started, the FILMIC ICON, was started by him losing!!!!!

  15. I think the perspective of this film is nails-on. Worth the wait, Sly, even though you may not have felt so a few years ago. You will be really proud of this film.

  16. Rocky will lose by split decision…that is what would make the most artistic sense after all. Everything would come full circle.

  17. I grew up watching Rocky he is one of my childhood favorites. Rocky you are the best just win!!!!!
    Rosa V.

  18. Whats good yall? This is D Jon, the artist with ‘Get Up’ in the movie. They aren’t putting out a new soundtrack, but ‘Get Up’ will be on my album coming out next month. You can also get a snippet of it on my myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/djon41. See you at the movies!

  19. I think that this sight is great. it makes waitin for this movie rough. craig, since stallone answers ur questions, can u verify if this is the last rocky and rambo, and when rambo will be released. we want to know. mayb even a possible story line. by the way, i heard rocky balboa the game is scheduled for release this feb.

  20. What about the Adrian? I didn’t hear about Talia Shire in this movie. God, they can’t change Adrian.

  21. I can’t stop seeing the trailer. I can’t stop thinking “Oh my God, where this man comes from? It’s awesome, stunnig and absolutely incredible”. Here in italy the movie maybe will be seen in january the 12th.

  22. Craig, can you confirm my suspicions? Is ROCKY BALBOA still being released on the 22nd or did it ACTUALLY get pushed up to be released sooner?! Everyone keeps on saying that it is coming out next weekend, some are saying the 20th! Can you tell me if they are telling the truth or are they just making this stuff up? I don’t care when it is released, I just want to know the CORRECT date, so I know when to order my tickets:), if you could please tell me the exact date it would be much appriciated:) whether its the 20 or the 22nd, IT IS NOT FAR AWAY!:) Thanks again Craig for this site, it is simply amazing!:) Sly thanks again! your work is incredible and HUGELY appriciated and loved by us all(your loyal fans) Peace – Aron Scott

  23. I just have to get this out. Sly, if you are reading these at all…I just finished hearing your interview on Total Access on Way FM out of Nashville, Tennessee. Thanks for what you have done and thanks for standing up for what you believe. Thanks for bringing a beautiful story to an amazing close and for letting us fans be just a minute part of it. But I cannot believe you told the ending!!!!! I have been avoiding this blog for months trying to avoid all the idjuts who keep coming on here trying to spoil it for the rest of us and in a split second you spilled the beans for those of us who were waiting to experience the story in the theater. I am quite perturbed with you; however, I can’t hold it against you because this sounds like it is going to be an amazing film: a perfect ending to a genius of a story. Thanks! You are wonderful!

  24. i just saw sly on monday night football! They were just interviewing him, he had a retro Eagles jacket on. I guess he was showing some Philly love. Hopefully all of us here, hopefully love him as much as he loves Philly…cause that’s alot! During the end of the interview Sly said ” He walks away with a light heart, and accomplishes everything he wanted” refering to rocky of course. What did that mean?!?!?!

  25. I think it’s the 22nd. I don’t know why Rocky would come out on a Wendsday……that’s the middle of the week, Friday seems more logical, so I’m going to say the 22nd

    -Dave

  26. OK! I am pretty sure that the release date DID IN FACT get pushed up to December 20th!:) I think that it is actually official! I checked the release date on Yahoo!movies and it said December 20, which is GREAT, but I am kind of bummed about it because I have to go to school that week, and I can’t go out to the movies on a school night, and I desperately wanted to see the movie on OPENING DAY:(! I wanted to order my tickets that THURSDAY night, and see the movie on FRIDAY the 22nd! but oh well! nothing I can do about it! I am just happy that I am getting the chance to see this movie PERIOD! It is the ULTIMATE dream-come-true for me! These movies mean the world to me! I adore ROCKY! They are my MOST favorite movies of ALL TIME! Sly, you ROCK! Just keep punching and don’t EVEN let the Critics get to you! Some people(critics) just don’t know what TRUE/GOOD American entertainment is these days and it is SAD!!! Everybody get ready, and… prepare yourselves for one of the MOST memorable movies to EVER hit the silver screen! To ALL of my fellow Sly/ROCKY fans… I WANT TO WISH YOU ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS, A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS( this will be the BEST Christmas EVER!!!) and a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!! RAMBO will soon be on the way!!!:) Peace – Aron Scott

  27. sly will be on the tonight show with Jay Leno this friday (the 8th) talking about Rocky Balboa. It will be interesting to hear what Jay Leno has to say about the film. Obviously, Jay has made jokes about being too old in his monologue, but I wonder if will give credit were credit is due. everybody tune in!!!

    Go Rocky!!

  29. Thanks sly for Rocky

For movies that have morals and ethics

Where consequences have penalties and faith is not apart from the fight.

    Thank you and God Bless.

  30. My girlfriend just purchased me a Rocky ( Everlast ) punching bag. I never knew they had them! The material is canvas, not leather, It’s wicked sweet and retro. If you want to check them out go to http://www.sportsauthority.com
It also comes with gloves! Anyways Rocky Balboa is going to become an instant classic, atleast thats how I see it in my eyes, and I hope many others eyes too!

  31. Hey everyone! I just saw Rocky Balboa today at a screening in Washington DC. I am a Rocky fan for many years, and I loved it. Definitely a nice bookend to the series. The best part: Sly was there for a Q & A session after the movie. I asked how come there was no Mr. T cameo, which is what I had been expecting and he said that they only had a little money to pay Mr. T for a cameo and Mr. T turned it down because it was not enough. Sly said that Mr. T was supposed to be one of the boxing commentators, but when he turned it down, the part went to Max Kellerman. By the way, no Drago cameo either, contrary to rumor. Go see this film on 12/22!!!!!
