“Victory” & “Rocky” Among 10 Greatest
On November 24, 2011, The Huffington Post posted the results of a poll of movie fans to determine the 10 Greatest Sports Films.
Coming in at #10 was Sly in Escape to Victory… and Sly returned in the #1 spot with Rocky [earning 28% of all votes cast].

Hope all is well with you and that you had a great summer.
This link is about a story of a couple who sold everything to travel the world in one year. The fun thing about all this is that they are taking their ROCKY sculpture with them to be photographed with them at their various destinations. It’s a great story! Hope you will be able to post it on your website.
Also, there is going to be a “ROCKY Event” at the Philadelphia Museum Steps this Saturday and Sunday. The main event will be a race up the famous steps at 11:00AM on Sunday the 16th, as well as a “Rocky” Look Alike Contest following the run to celebrate “Rocky” movie 35th Anniversary. Hopefully, your website can spread the word.

Rocky Musical Moves Forward
On October 11, 2011, Broadway World.com posted that there has been progress in getting the long-awaited Rocky musical moving forward. The hope is for a 2012 production in Germany and then a run on Broadway in 2013.
Ben Bova Praises Stallone & Rocky
Dr. Ben Bova has written more than 120 novels and nonfiction books. He has received numerous awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Arthur C. Clarke Foundation, the John W. Campbell Memorial Award and the Robert A. Heinlein Award just to name a few. Dr. Bova is the President Emeritus of the National Space Society and a past president of Science Fiction Writers of America. He is also a huge fan of the movie, Rocky.

- I saw the movie “Rocky” again on television a few nights ago. And, as usual, got a lump in my throat.

- One of the secrets of writing fiction is to avoid the clichés. Stallone did this admirably in “Rocky.” It would have been easy to scribble out just another fight movie, but Stallone steered his way past the clichés and wrote what I consider to be a masterpiece.
