Rambo Triumphant!

Today I received my limited edition, Rambo statue from the good folks at Hollywood Collectibles.  The statue was placed inside a molded styrofoam shell which was then put in a well designed packaging box which was then placed in a larger shipping box filled with packing nuts.  If you think I’m making too big a deal about how pleased I was with the secure packaging, then you don’t know my delivery guy.

The statue, about 12 inches tall, is itself is a thing of beauty.  Sculpter,  Edinho Maga shows Rambo standing triumphant.  Each statue was hand painted by Dan Cope who did a wonderful job of making the statue even more lifelike.  Hollywood Collectibles always turns out quality items and this Rambo statue  is no exception.  Although this piece is sold out, there are other Rambo collectiblesRocky items,  and many other movie collectibles as well.

Before I bring this post to a close I want to especially thank Mark from Hollywood CollectiblesMark contacted me once I had posted photos of Edinho’s work on the StalloneZoneMark was impressed.  I put the two into contact with each other and the rest, as they say, is history.  Throughout the whole process Mark kept me informed on the statue’s progress.  It was also Mark who made it possible for SZoners to get a discount if they ordered a statue.  Mark and Hollywood Collectibles have been great to deal with.  I hope that future Stallone projects are given the same treatment.  I could say more, but it’s time to go clear off a place on the mantle for my Rambo statue.

Williamson’s other choices include: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gary Busey, Ernest Borgnine, Dennis Hopper, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Mickey Rourke, R. Lee Emery, Michael Madsen and John Travolta. You can read the full piece HERE. – Craig

Sly Drawing 4th Blood?

Robert Sanchez from The Movie Reporter.com posted this on January 6th:

Sly Stallone and his brother Frank showed up at last nights VW shindig and we had to ask what was going on with these two [Rocky and RamboCraig] long rumored projects. To my surprise Stallone mentioned that he had meetings that same day regarding Rambo and that both projects are in the works.

Sly Talk and Rumors

Lately there’s been quite a bit of talk on the internet that Sly is working on bringing back Rocky and Rambo to the big screen. Of course SZoners have been hearing these rumors for years.

Still, the word is that Sly’s serious about bring back his cornerstone characters. Stallone promises fans a
Rambo IV
says one site. Stallone to bring back Rambo says another. While “Rambo Lives!” cries a third. Not to be out done another site [using the same info as the others] posts “Stallone Promises Rocky VI!”

As always, I’ll believe it when I see it. [And I hope to soon!] – Craig

“Rocky 6” Tidbit

Rocky 6

Hey Craig,
I just thought that I’d send you a note about Stallone. Stallone was interviewed on Jim Rome’s Sports Radio Show today (7/23) at 12:30pm and was asked about Rocky 6. He said that the script is finished and that it is called “The Puncher’s Chance”. He mentioned that the story is a lot like George Foreman‘s return to the ring and that Rocky‘s opponent is a like a 6’6″ Allen Iverson. ??? Whoa. Take that for what it’s worth. It’s still up in the air as to whether or not it will get made, but Stallone says that the deal is close. Anyway, I thought Stallone Zoner’s would want to know. Most of the interview was about Spy Kids 3D and nothing was mentioned about Rambo IV.…sadly. :(…..

Sincerely,
Mark Dambach
