Chris Bumbray, over at JoBlo.com has a new series where he takes a look at the careers of famous movie stars. As you’ve probably already figured out, this week he turns the spotlight on Sly Stallone.
Bumbray does an excellent job with his retrospective and analysis. No nits to pick except I’d rate Stop of My Mom Will Shoot! as Sly’s worst (not Rhinestone) and of course, everyone knows how much I enjoy Sly’s Get Carter.
If you’ve ever wondered what Rocky Balboa would look like drawn on a Mexican Bingo Card, well, wonder no more. Brad Woodward has created just that. Not only did Woodward create the card, he shows us how he did it in the video below.

Today we have something pretty rare… an ad for the Sylvester Stallone Guide to Movie Making. It was a comic by Phil Clarke scheduled to be published by Solson.
I’ve never seen the comic. Was it published? My guess is, “No,” but if it was I’d love to see a copy. Anyone know?

These are my Creed and Creed Two hero outfits that I have on display in my office for inspiration. The towels are the ones Drago throws into the ring. That’s Creed’s stool and both outfits were screen-worn! Even Rocky’s pamphlets on cancer, the magazine Rocky reads at Adrian’s grave and the framed photo from when Rocky and Adonis first met are screen-used!
As you can imagine, they provide great inspiration and I’m proud to add them to the collection and share with StalloneZoners!
