Rocky Chosen Best Again
On December 31, 2008, EJ Claudio at BleacherReport.com listed his choices for The Top Five Boxing Movies of All Time. His number one choice was “Rocky” which beat out “Raging Bull,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “Cinderella Man” and every other boxing movie ever made. Here’s what he had to say:
1. Rocky
Sylvester Stallone will always be remembered because of this film. It was a very good movie that connected with the audience. It is about Rocky Balboa, a not-so-smart boxer with limited skills who rose to fame by winning the hearts of many when he overcame the odds and put on a good fight against the champion, Appollo Creed.
Sly’s Witty Comeback

Several critics over at the San Francisco Bay Guardian On-LIne site weighed in with their Favorites from 2008. Jesse Hawthorne selected “Rambo” as one of his and said this:

In 1986, my friend Joe had a first cousin named sharon. She was on a school trip in 1981 to the steps in Philly. They just happened to be filming Rocky 3 on this particular day and she took these pictures. She showed them to me back then. And here is the fummy part…11 years later I married her sister, Sue. Anyways I love the picture with Sly and the 2 tony’s!Merry Christmas Zoners!!!
