Craig: Sly, fans would love for you to do commentary tracks if and when your movies are re-released on DVD. Are you up for that? Is this something you enjoy?

SYLVESTER STALLONE: I do enjoy it. You sit down and you just have a glass of wine and you start to look at something in the cold light of day and it’s good. And I think [if] you find humor in it, the one thing is, you know, you try not, at least I try not to take myself too seriously. But quite often when you’re doing the film you’re like you’re in this deep, you know, morass of moodiness. And you go, you’re not thinking straight but, you know, afterwards you go, “Oh that’s just a movie. Now lets talk about it and have some fun with it, maybe.”

  3. I think its great Sly is looking forward to doing dvd commentaries. It will be good to see how he looks back on such a long career. Both his hits and misses. Sly is an intelligent and witty man – let him loose on himself!

  8. What a cute and adorable picture!, Craig THANK YOU SO MUCH brother, you have no idea how much your work means to ROCKY fans around the world. This has been the best halloween ever thanks to you, and Sly of course!:) Punchy is SO CUTE!, even cuter than Butkus!, these pictures just seem to get better and better! ABSOLOUTELY CANNOT WAIT FOR ROCKY BALBOA!!! I wish it was Christmas already but we still have eight more weeks to build up even more excitement (if that’s even possible) Sly and Craig you both have made this the most special year of my entire life life(No Joke!) I just wish I had someone to share it with, I am the only person in my entire family who really LOVES ROCKY! So it does get a little lonely sometimes, I have all this CRAZY pent up excitement and energy for these movies and no one to close to me to share it with or talk about it with. My mom promised me that she would take me to see this film on opening day/weekend but it just still isn’t the same. It’s like this big HUGE event and very touching/special occurrence in my life that will happen ONE TIME AND ONLY ONE TIME! with no one else but ME to share it with. Except thanks to you Craig, I get to come on this blog and discuss this film with complete strangers whom I will NEVER EVEN MEET! which makes it somewhat special:) Actually to tell you the truth, I have been a Stallone fan for almost ten years and I have never seen a movie of his in the theater, Rocky Balboa will be my FIRST time seeing my hero on the big screen! Craig thank you so much, this means the WORLD to me. Sly, I Love you so much, thank you, you probably have NO idea just how much you and your movies mean to me and to the rest of the world:) Every day I wake up thinking about this movie and it brings tears to my eyes:) – Aron Scott

  13. I agree. When will MGM/Sony/Revolution come up with a new trailer? Seems that there needs to be more marketing involved for this movie’s upcoming release. I already saw another movie’s TV AD: “We Are Marshall” starring McConaughey that is also opening on the 22nd of Dec like “Rocky Balboa.” … Craig tell the movie studio execs out there what’s up with the hold up. Do they want Balboa to succeed in the box office? At least we haven’t seen “Dreamgirls” either. lol .. because that’s opening on the same date as well.

  18. the way i see it, stallone is american. the movie is being made in america using american money. sorry rest-of-the-world, we get to see it first. it’s only fair. you’ll just have to wait your turn like the good rocky fans you are.

  20. SWEET JESUS!!!, some people are just too damn demanding!!!, NOVEMBER 1st NOW WHERE IS MY NEW TRAILER AND TV SPOTS!, JUST BE PATIENT!!! I don’t no what else to tell these people… And even if there is not going to be a new trailer or any TV Spots, who the hell cares!!! If the millions of Rocky fans at least are aware of this films release and if you (bloggers) are also aware, isn’t that all that matters? This movie will be special NO MATTER WHAT! A film like this doesn’t need 5 different trailers and 200 tv spots!

  22. Some of you people need to STOP hounding Craig for news on a new trailer(if there will even be one) and tv spots. CALM YOURSELVES!!! and just be thankful that Craig is donating his own time and effort into this blog for you(ROCKY Fans)! Just be appriciative for what we have now!

  26. no no chilling out … believe it or not a lot of people have no idea that this film is coming out.. us die-hards know but i need to see a commercial on tv… at least today i heard the action figures are in stores thats a start!!

CRAIG does a marvelous and superb job so far in giving us the fresh updates, but one man alone dedicating himself to the cause can’t do all the work by himself. where are the other people in the movie studios promoting this movie? rohit is right. 50 more days ago and ROCKY BALBOA needs more exposure to get the attention to people out there who don’t know there’s another ROCKY movie coming out. come on MGM/ REVOLUTION/ SONY … hype up the site, hype up more trailers, make it happen.

  30. No more hype is required. The world will know soon enough. This movie will track just like Pirates of the Caribbean, and not much hype was required for the first movie.

    Strange that I haven’t see any commercial on the TV about this movie. It’s only us hardcore rocky fans that knows it is coming out 🙁

Thank You Sly for giving Rocky back to the world one last time…Thank you for putting something out there that is healthy and inspirational!!!, I swear to God, this country(USA) has gone absoloutely CRAZY with (gore, disgusting, blood and guts, grotesque violence, death and sadistically freaking wierd horror movies!!!) EVERY SINGLE FIGGIN’ WEEK there is some new and completely disgusting gorey horror movie being released! (The Grudge 2, Saw, Saw II, Saw III, HOSTEL, HOSTEL PART II, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(which has been made one too many friggin’ times!!!) What the hell has happened to this country, it thrives on blood, killing, sex, gore, and obscene language!)   47. I JUST saw the screening for Rocky Balboa and I must say that it is a truly great film. I Know it will have a big impact on many fans and it is also a sad movie as one scene that just put many in tears was before the big exibition fight Rocky calls punchy to go on his daily run, but this time punchy has seen his last run as he slowly dies in Rockys arms. Truly Heartbreaking! as for the fight itself? The entire build up to the fight is powerful especially the ring entrance, however as you all know, this is an exibition fight and it’s almost an exact replay of the first apollo creed fight, so Im sure we all know what happened in Rocky 1 as Rocky loses a split decision.

  49. I wonder when Rocky Balboa will get a more aggresive marketing. We’re a little over a month before release and promotion has been very rare.
