Happy Birthday Frank Stallone who is 59 today. Why not drop by his site and send him some birthday love. Tell the SZ sent ya!

To comic book fans, Dick Giordano is a living legend. During his fifty plus years in the biz he’s done everything from ink all the greats (including himself) to serve as Editor-in-Chief of DC Comics, to co-founding his own comic company. Mr. Giordano also has a great sense of humor.
I recently had the good fortune to pick up six model sheet headsketches of Sly that Mr. Giodano did before starting work on DC Comics adaptation of “Demolition Man.” That’s the first posted above.

SZoner, DekeDasilva posted a larger version of the photo above on the StalloneZone Message Board. It’s a photo which appears in the current issue of Empire magazine.

I received word from Igor Hrenovac who has started a The Expendables fan site. You can check it out by clicking here.

I picked up this cool sketch by Ted Naifeh at the last MegaCon. John Higashi suggested I consider Ted for a Stallone sketch. Thanks John! Ted opted to do Deke from “NIghthawks” and did a bang-up job. You can check out more of Ted’s art at his site.

Israel Baptist runs a nice Sylvester Stallone website which features news, photos, video clips, and art primarlily by an artist named Clodoaldo. Check out the site and let ’em know I sent ya!

On July 6, 2009, Mike Scott at NOLA.com posted a piece about “The Expendables” that he called “The Big Bang Theory”.
A short piece posted at MovieHole.net saying that “The Expendables” could become a franchise.

Happy 63rd Birthday to Sylvester Stallone! Just one question, “Where do you keep the time machine?”

SZoner, Edinho Maga, the fantastic sculptor who created this Rambo statute, sent in these great photos. Edinho presented Sly with a Rambo statue as well as Edinho’s Rocky statue. Although the Rocky piece has not been licensed, Edinho does have a few copies available for $250 plus shipping.
