Last week we posted links to articles about Sly‘s $1.4 million lawsuit against contractor Mohamed Hadid. This week word comes that the suit was settled for an undisclosed amount. Hadid’s complaints against Sly were also dismissed as part of the settlement.
According to Molly Eichel’s Frank Rizzo to Hit the Big Screen? article posted at Philly.com on April 11, 2013, there’s talk about the potential for Sly and Frank to co-star in a film about former Philly mayor Frank Rizzo.
Keep in mind this is just talk/speculation, but it would be nice to see Sly and Frank together again on the big screen. (You know, Frank could be Expendable.) – Craig

On April 2, 2013, TMZ broke the story that a contractor that Sly is suing for $1.4 million has gotten a restraining order against Sly. The contractor is making allegations that Sly threatened to kill him as well as other things to put Sly in a bad light.

Sly’s lawyer, Marty Singer, says the actor was never notified of a hearing for a restraining order, adding Sly’s trial is about to begin and this is just a desperate attempt to smear him. Singer says he took Hadid’s deposition last week and asked about all the conversations he had with Sly — and no threats were ever mentioned…
I’d say that the contractor doesn’t have a good foundation… in his construction work or his claims against Sly.
