Sly Stallone as Jack Carter by Derec Donovan!
This Jack Carter piece was created by Derec Donovan through his Whatnot page. I’ve been a fan of his for years. Derec’s western/zombie mashup, Trigger Mortis should be on every cowboy/zombie fan’s bookshelf. This is my first piece by Derec, but hopefully it won’t be my last.
Ray-Anthony Height Gets Carter (with an interesting story)
Today we have Sly Stallone as Jack Carter by Ray-Anthony Height. It’s my third piece from Ray-Anthony and it has an interesting story.
My buddy, John Higashi was at a convention. He saw this piece on display at Ray-Anthony’s table. John told RAH that he had a buddy, Craig Zablo, who collected Stallone sketches. RAH said that the art was originally for Craig, but that it got lost. So he refunded Craig the money. RAH later found the sketch and decided to see if it would sell at the convention.
And it did.
I’ve darkened the piece a bit for display here
Jack Carter by Nate Niles!
Sly Stallone as Jack Carter by Nate Niles. He’s a young artist to watch for. Nate was “introduced” to me by Jarrod Alberich, The Yard Sale Artist. The two of them created Hamilton Vs. Burr: A Werewolf Tale!
Sly Stallone as Jack Carter by Gary Shipman!
Gary Shipman is a self taught artist and writer. Shipman has been nominated for Eisner, Harvey and Russ Manning awards. When I saw that Gary Shipman was regularly doing sketchcard (and other) commissions on WhatNot, I decided to try to get one. As you can see above from Shipman’s riff on Sly Stallone as Jack Carter, I succeeded.
You can see more of Gary Shipman’s art at his webpage, his Instagram page and on his Whatnot stream.
