Craig Parrish of East Side Boxing.com has posted up his Top Ten Boxing Films list.
It’s no surprise that Rocky made the list [coming in at #2], but what makes this even better is that Rocky II and III madeHonorable Mentions.

Stuff.co.nz is running a weekly “Celebrity Fight Club.” The way it works is Stuff pairs up two celebs each week and asks readers who they think would win a fight. Readers are asked to consider factors such as age, height, ability, stamina, and general all-round toughness. Once a winner becomes clear in each poll, their names are updated and published in Stuff’s Entertainment section.
Here are the results of Stallone vs Schwarzenegger: With 513 votes, Sly Stallone easily terminated Arnie in this match-up. Perhaps becoming the Governor of California has softened Arnie up – he got only 299 votes.

Whenever my buddies and I are talking movies and “dream casting” — and I mention Sly for a role, someone ALWAYS makes the comment that I’d recommend Stallone for ANY role.
Well, that’s just not true…
… even though there are many roles that I think he could do [or have done well].
Seems I’m not alone.
When Robert Rodriguez was asked
in a recent interview who he thought would make a good Batman if “The Dark Knight Returns” was
ever made into a movie he responded with…
“I love “Dark Knight Returns”…I think Stallone and Bruce Willis would make great Dark Knights if they
ever did make Frank’s version of the movie. It would take an iconic actor like that to play such an iconic character.”
Hey, if Robert Rodriguez says that Sly would make a great Batman, well, who am I to argue?
