Last night Sly and Robert Deniro made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live. They joined John Goodman in a funny skit titled Three Wise Guys.
I remember seeing this commercial for Rapid Shave years before Sly became famous. My grandfather commented thought Sly’s delivery of, “It surrounds my face in class” was funny. Sly later used the line in Rocky II. Check out the commercial below.
News came out this week that there’s a rumor that a potential Expendables tv series could be in the works. Now THAT would be cool if done correctly. There’s the potential for story arcs a la the old Wise Guy series or the current Justified series. Also an Expendables tv series could spotlight a regular team with guest stars for the Expendables movies. I’d also suggest that the tv cast go into the series knowing that it’s called Expendables and that some of them could be.
Of course this is all speculation at this point.
